Michigan Talent Together invites education leaders, policymakers, higher education partners, K–12 district teams, corporate partners, apprenticeship sponsors, workforce development leaders, and practitioners working in the teacher apprenticeship space to submit proposals for workshop presentations, panels and/or interactive sessions. The conference will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Washtenaw Intermediate School District in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Attendees will also be invited to register for a pre-conference experience on Wednesday, October 21st.

This conference is designed to elevate innovative practices, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and advance sustainable solutions that address educator workforce challenges across Michigan and the United States.. We welcome proposals for Thursday’s full-day conference that highlight promising practices, research, policy innovation, partnership models, and scalable strategies connected to teacher recruitment, preparation, retention, and apprenticeship pathways.

  • Center equity, access, belonging, and culturally responsive practices

  • Examine policy, funding, and systems-level change supporting educator pipelines
  • Demonstrate data, outcomes, and impact related to educator preparation and retention
